At 1:30am we gave up and left for another hotel, even though we’d paid for three nights. The room had a leaking shower, dirty sheets, no soundproofing, and a window that wouldn’t close. It faced a road that sounded like a boy racer practice track, with unbelievable noise. At check-in, the manager was rude and aggressive, threatening to evict us unless we did exactly as he said. He demanded an ID card, though this hadn’t been mentioned beforehand. Luckily I had one in my email. When I asked about the data protection policy, he had no idea what I meant. They apparently store the IDs on a local computer and never destroy them. We arrived to find the door locked and a sign telling us to call a mobile number to check in. We called from two different phones for half an hour before the manager answered, and he made it sound as though we were disturbing him. He’d chosen a room especially for us, apparently. Worst hotel experience of my life. I’ve travelled the world and stayed in third world villages in the Amazon with better service than this. Don’t stay at this “Hotel.” Even a cardboard box under a bridge would be an upgrade.

The room was clean and nice, and the staff member at reception was friendly. But arriving to a locked door and having to phone the manager to check in wasn’t welcoming. The noise was awful too. It’s on a main road, and the windows barely block anything. Boy racers went up and down the street until the early hours. It seemed to be a meeting spot for them.

There’s no receptionist, so the hostel’s main door stays locked and you have to call a number to check in or out, or for anything else. My boyfriend booked a room on February 1, 2018, and had a terrible experience. The room smelled, the shower was broken and leaking, and the sink leaked too. When my friend called about the shower, the hostel guy said he knew there was a problem. There’s no kitchen in the hostel. I’d give this hotel zero stars.

The bus stop is only about 30 seconds away, town is walkable, and there’s free parking. The corridor was quiet, so we slept peacefully. The laminated floor, white furniture and tea maker made the room feel cosy. The place was clean and nice, and the bed was really comfortable. It was also very cheap, a better deal than other hotels that charge a lot for nothing. The staff were helpful too. I couldn’t check out as required, but they let me off, which I was grateful for. I had an amazing stay and would definitely come back. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere affordable, nice and clean. You won’t regret staying here.

This is definitely budget accommodation. The rooms vary in quality, and I had to move because the window didn’t fit the frame and offered no protection from the weather. It’s not especially comfortable, and road-facing rooms can be loud. Still, for the price it’s not bad if you just need somewhere to lay your head. I’ve stayed twice.
