Dinner and breakfast were both superb, and our room was spacious, with high ceilings and a view over the city. We came to Bradford for an event and spent the night at the Midland Hotel. Entering from the car park felt like stepping back in time. The original decor and flooring, along with props like baggage trolleys and old suitcases, gave the place a lovely atmosphere. That old charm continues through the hotel, with grand ballrooms and plenty of chandeliers.

We had room 239 again, with its four-poster bed and jacuzzi bath, at our favourite hotel in the UK. Breakfast was excellent, cooked by David the hotel manager. Thanks to everyone. We'll be back.

I usually stay at places like the Premier Inn, so it was nice to have a proper hotel experience. There's lots of space and plenty of seating throughout, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is available, though you need to register at reception. Breakfast was delicious too, even if I went a bit overboard with the HP!

The shower was the most powerful I've had in any hotel, with lovely hot water that didn't seem to be limited like it is in many places. Check-in was easy and the staff were polite. It's a grand old hotel, so now and then there's a rumble or the sound of things moving deep inside it. A bit like a plane passing overhead, noticeable but not too annoying. One night in and so far so good.
