The Busta House Hotel has a lovely mix of history and modern amenities. This was our second stay, and it was fantastic in every way. The rooms are beautiful, staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant does delicious breakfast and dinner. They also handle dietary issues very well.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean, cosy and well appointed. We had a lovely stay, with excellent food and really good service from the staff.

The hotel itself is very nice and service was very good, but dinner left me disappointed. My starter was frittatta, which was dry and short on flavour. For the main course, the lamb and root vegetables were okay, but the roast potatoes were awful, soft and chewy.

Shetland is perfectly placed for adventures in every direction, and this place sits right in the middle of it. We couldn’t have been happier with our short three-night stay. The service, food and Scotch were all amazing. Hope to come back someday!

We didn’t stay at Busta House while we were in Brae for a Hidden Hebrides walking holiday, but our group of six had its final dinner there. Everyone chose the braised lamb independently, and I’d call it the best meal of my three-and-a-half-week trip to Scotland. It was excellent.
