Premier Inn Bridgwater

The room was spacious and spotless, with a really comfortable bed and pillows. The shower was great too. Food was excellent for the price, and Mia in the restaurant was cheerful and right on the ball with customer service.

The rooms were nice, and the location is great. Staff were friendly too. The breakfast, though, was cold and they kept running out of choices. The beer selection has shrunk a lot. The restaurant and bar are smaller now, but they do look much more modern.

The check-in staff were welcoming, professional and really good. My room was generally clean, though the tea and coffee holder clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. I was there for a week for work, and things went downhill after that. During the heatwave the room became unbearably hot, a real health concern for me because of my asthma. Some nights I ended up driving home instead of staying. In that kind of weather, the lack of proper air conditioning just isn't acceptable anymore. If you're on EE, expect almost no mobile signal throughout the hotel. The free WiFi was capped at about 1Mbps, painfully slow in 2026. Streaming, work and even basic browsing were frustrating, and the hotel charged extra each day for usable speeds. Having to pay daily for decent WiFi over a whole week felt like pure corporate greed. I'd save yourself the hassle and stay at the Ibis two minutes down the road. It's cheaper, has faster internet, room service and air-conditioned rooms. A massive difference.

Parking was easy, the location simple, and we were welcomed warmly by great staff. The Premier plus room in the separate block was superb, with lovely extra touches like the soaps, coffee and little chocolate bars. Both cuck chairs came in handy for our spectators, and one had a uniquely interesting upholstery pattern, as pictured. Brilliant stay all round, no negatives, and we'll be back.
