You can tell the steaks are fresh because you need to order them ahead. The chef even checks in while you're eating to make sure yours is cooked how you like it. Fantastic restaurant, absolutely recommend it. Looking forward to coming back.

The steaks were lovely, the cheesecake was beautiful, and my partner, who usually avoids ordering steak out, said this was the best one they'd had. We joked we'd book here for every family occasion this year. The dining room and bar being separate is a nice touch, and the quiet village setting made for a lovely atmosphere. We'd been trying for two years to get a Valentine's Day table for my partner's birthday, so book in December or earlier if that's what you're after 😂. Thanks for such a nice evening, and for running a lovely village pub. We'll definitely eat here again.

The set was fantastic. Both the ribeye and filet steak were cooked just right, and the Halloumi burger was delicious.

I first heard about this place eight years ago and still enjoy visiting. The owners clearly care, and that comes through in the consistently good service. The food is fantastic and fairly priced. There are only two places in southern England where I get excited about steak, and this is one of them. When people ask where to go around here for steak, this is always my first suggestion.
