The Kings Head

The new landlady has really brought this pub back to life. The food is decent, but the weekend atmosphere is what stands out. The staff are brilliant and make you feel welcome. I'm really impressed.

I've heard people say the decor needs freshening up a bit, but I disagree. It's a lovely original pub, full of the sort of character that suits a wonderful village. There's a good choice of lagers, cider's and beers, friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a pleasure to have a drink here, and pubs like this deserve to survive.

The Kings Head in Cannigton was cosy, and the staff were friendly. The apartment-style rooms worked well for our group, since some friends needed their own rooms. The sheets were clean, and two rooms were warm. The problem was the third room: its radiator didn't work, leaving it cold, and the beds in there were uncomfortable. The en suite also needed a thorough clean, and its damaged shower curtain rain made showering difficult. I'd still recommend the pub and accommodation to friends and family, but that one room needs looking into.

This room in an inn was absolutely disgusting. There were half-eaten sausage rolls left in the cupboard by the previous guest, the toilet hadn't been cleaned, and the bin was still full of used sanitary towels. You do not want to stay here.
