Travelodge Bridgwater M5

The Travelodge was clean and smelled nice, just as you’d expect from a no-frills hotel. Tina made check-in lovely, greeting me with a warm smile and being friendly and attentive. Thanks to her and the team!

The building felt dated and smelled stale, and the entrance was tricky to find. The staff member was helpful, though. Parking was covered and only a short walk away, which was handy. Glad I was only there for one night.

The room was cleaned perfectly, with a good sized bathroom that had both a bath and shower. There were two smaller camp-style singles and a double for the three of us, all big enough and comfortable. We could barely hear the motorway, surprisingly, and the view of the trees was nice. The hotel has no restaurant, but there’s a large Costa downstairs and a Greggs kiosk for cheaper snacks. A great place to stop at the motorway services. The receptionist was really friendly and showed us right away that extra tea and coffee were available at reception to take as needed. Borrowing an iron and ironing board was no trouble either. We also saw a robot vacuum whizzing around, which seemed like a great idea 👌

Even though we got in after 10pm, we were greeted with a warm smile. The room was spotless and felt inviting.
