The Bridport Arms made a great place to eat while we were camping nearby over the recent long bank holiday weekend. The seaside setting was lovely, prices were reasonable, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which made everything feel relaxed. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and cooked just right. The fish dish especially stood out. We had a lovely time and would happily come back when we're in the area. Highly recommended!

We booked a table for three by phone and were greeted warmly when we arrived at the agreed time. They gave us an easy-to-reach table in the window alcove, which was perfect. The service stayed courteous throughout, though the quiet, shy gentleman who took our drinks order had to wait while we got over the prices. I live in Germany, where a pint here could almost buy you a crate of Pils! I chose Palmers IPA, and my father went for Palmers Gold. My mussels in a creamy white wine sauce were delicious. I also tried the Padron peppers as a starter, but none were hot or spicy like the Pimientos de Padron you get in Galicia. We skipped dessert and paid just under 100 quid, including an 18% tip. It was a lovely evening, though clearly I need to get used to eating out prices again after living abroad.

The pub was quaint and cosy, and the beachfront spot is great, with little ice cream shops nearby. We came for lunch as a large group and the friendly staff looked after us well. I really enjoyed my penne pasta pomodoro, and it was a generous portion. Some others in the group thought a few dishes were overpriced, including a simple baguette at £10-£16, where you'd usually expect fries, crisps, or salad on the side. I'd come back.

The rib eye steak was cooked just right, and the chowder was excellent. We stopped for lunch and got very good bar service, attentive without anyone pushing us.

After a long beach walk, we were looking for food and somewhere dog friendly, and were glad to find this gem. It was also my wife's birthday, so food, fizz, and chocolate brownie made for a perfect stop. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed the food so much that we booked for the Easter Sunday roast.
