The countryside setting made for a memorable couple of nights in a manor, though there’s nothing within walking distance, which we’d expected. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and part of the room rate. I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it if the privacy issues were sorted out. We couldn’t lock the bathroom door, which made us uncomfortable, and nobody addressed it while we were there. It was a weekend, but I’d have thought an emergency locksmith could still be available. The bedroom door doesn’t lock either, and the rule that guests can’t be onsite between 10am and 4:30pm wasn’t made clear until I was given the check-in form. I eventually found it buried in the terms and conditions, but it should be explained plainly from the start.

It felt much more like staying in someone’s home than in a hotel or B&B, and we found it comfortable and relaxing. The food and company were great, and the location was lovely. We came for a two-night weekend break and couldn’t have chosen a better place. We’d definitely stay again on our next visit to the Cotswolds.

Even with a biblical storm outside and the power out for 24 hours, our hosts kept us warm and comfortable and took wonderful care of us through the difficult circumstances. It’s a beautiful house in a fabulous location, and they welcomed us so warmly. We look forward to coming back.

We were close to Bourton-on-the-Water, with Bibury, Broadway, and Chipping Campden each about 15-20 minutes away, while the house itself sits quietly out in the countryside. It made a great base for getting around the Cotswolds but still felt peaceful and properly rural. The grounds and house were beautifully kept, and our room had an amazing view. We stayed three nights for my birthday, and the whole visit was fantastic. The house has loads of character, and breakfast was excellent every morning, especially the fresh eggs from their own chickens. Thanks so much for having us. We’ll be back in the summer!

A nice spot for walkers, with nearby villages you can reach on foot. The host was friendly and helpful, and gave us walking route tips. I was glad to find plenty of herbal tea in the room, which you don’t often get.
