The Lamb Hindon

We chose the place for its location, which was perfect for visiting Stonehenge, The City of Salisbury and the National Trusts sites of Stourhead & Avebury. We spent two lovely nights at The Lamb, from 25th - 27th Nov. The pub had a cosy, warm atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and always on hand. Milly, Violet & Teddy were excellent at Diner & Breakfast.

Best of all, it's dog friendly, and just a short distance from the A303, halfway along our route. We stayed for two nights and the whole experience was amazing. The food was brilliant, from breakfast and dinner to the out-of-this-world tomahawk steak. The chef and team are great, as are the front of house and bar staff. Bec is amazing, like all of them. It's a lovely, homely country pub with real log fire places and brilliant customer service. What a find! Definitely go here. If you haven't been, put it on your bucket list. We're coming back next month and the month after. I've finally found my monthly work stopover hotel.

The Lamb made a great base for visiting Stourhead and Castle Combe. My daughter and I stayed for two nights, and had everything we needed in a lovely, comfortable room. We both slept really well. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. We had dinner there both nights and breakfast one morning, and all the meals were delicious with excellent service. We'll certainly visit again. We've stopped here three times while passing through, and it's reliably good. It's a former coaching inn in a very pretty village, only a mile or so from A303. We came for lunch, not an overnight stay. The place was bustling, with a good menu and nice atmosphere, an open fire and friendly staff.
