Forest Pines Golf & Spa

My partner booked this for my 30th birthday, and we had an amazing time. The staff were brilliant, the treatments fantastic, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Our room was spacious and clean, as were the spa facilities. I can’t speak highly enough of the place.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and they had gluten free bread. There was also a decent range of gluten free options on the lounge and restaurant menus. I chose the special chilli, which they could adapt for gluten free, and it was lovely. The hotel was lovely and the room comfortable. My only issue was having to carry all my luggage through the bar and up a flight of stairs, as there was no lift. I’m not sure whether only the block I stayed in lacked one. Nobody offered to help with my bags.

My massage with Amber was one of the highlights. She made sure I was comfortable throughout, checked in at the right moments, and was gentle and attentive. I left calm and relaxed, feeling very well looked after. The restaurant team, Matthew, Chloe and Amber, were patient and helpful with my dietary needs after a stomach operation. I know I wasn’t the easiest customer, but they made sure we were comfortable and nothing seemed too much trouble. I came to Forest Pines Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort for my 40th birthday, and Andrea and Coral at reception made it feel so personal. They were warm and caring, arranged decorations in my room, left a lovely card, and sorted food. Those thoughtful touches made me feel special. Thanks to everyone for making the birthday memorable. The staff’s kindness made the stay, and I’ll definitely be back. I’d highly recommend Forest Pines for a relaxing, caring place to stay. ♥️

The setting is lovely, and the gym and spa facilities are great. The rooms are okay, and it’s probably one of the best hotels around. Breakfast is good too, so I don’t understand why the evening food and service are so poor. The staff seemed young and inexperienced, and the meals were overpriced and low quality. My £42 fillet steak came with a tiny, tasteless side salad. More and more guests seem to be ordering takeaways, which says a lot.
