27 Brighton

A sweet, cosy room, small but carefully laid out and just right for travelling alone. Everything was handled smoothly by text, with no face-to-face exchange. It’s right by the seafront, though the popular Brighton street is 15/20 minutes away.

That shower was the best I’ve ever had. I stayed in the smallest room, and it was just right for one person. It’s pretty small, but so nice I could live in a room like that. The service was good. I’d asked for a contact number ahead of time, which is how I got the Wi-Fi password, since it wasn’t provided otherwise. The location was okay, a long residential block away from the action. As a solo traveller, I wasn’t sure I wanted to make that walk alone after a late pub crawl.

Being able to relax in the lounge and sit outside with a drink in the evenings made our week in the Thomas Kemp Suite a pleasure. We stayed in June 2025, and the suite was just as shown in the pictures, clean and comfortable, with the hospital a 10-minute walk away. Parking permits could be bought in advance and were left at the suite for check-in, which was great. From booking through checkout, nothing was too much trouble. We’d definitely stay again, thank you.

Antony’s home-cooked breakfast was amazing, and he was always helpful if we wanted recommendations. We felt welcome and comfortable at the 27 Brighton, and could tell a lot of care goes into the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and tidy, with a stylish interior. Antony was a courteous host, and we’d happily visit again.
