There were no other rooms left in town during marathon weekend, so we had no choice but to stay here. The room was filthy, with stained sheets on a bed that hadn't been changed and an empty beer bottle left behind. We only learned on arrival that breakfast wasn't included in the cost of this so-called B&B. For just a bed in a dirty room, it was extremely expensive. The owners either kept losing our booking or charging our cards twice, causing us endless hassle. Reception could only be reached by text, which made it worse. We felt conned and ripped off. I was itching as I wrote this. Don't stay unless you have to, and book early for marathon weekend. Cheers, R.

The housekeeping staff seemed to be trying hard, so I'll give it two stars, though the stay was horrible. Next time I'd rather use a hostel. There was mould, and if you didn't shower with the window open you'd be in steam all night. The room had only two sockets, and a third of the lights were out. The heating was weak and the window didn't seal, so a normal person would be cold in the morning. The shared toilet was cramped even for me, and it had no light for two nights, which made things harder. There was no reception, and it wasn't cheap either. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially rooms 1-6.

The hotel cancelled the booking, and I never even got to stay. I booked and paid in April 2019 for a trip in October, and by August I was rushing to find a reasonably priced place for a business trip that was also meant to be a pre-honeymoon, since we're not having an actual honeymoon. Cue the trolls, but seriously, I should get my money back. I didn't cancel the trip, and they gave me no reason for cancelling the reservation.

We gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt after reading the reviews and booked a room two months in advance. Then, one day before we were due to travel, they told us they had cancelled the reservation. No one should have to deal with that kind of shock the day before a trip. Trying to find suitable accommodation for a family at such short notice is difficult. Their last-minute cancellation confirmed how inefficient they are. Highly disappointing. If I could give zero stars, I would. Don't book here.

We really enjoyed our stay for my mum's 50th getaway. There were six adults across three rooms, the owners were lovely, and breakfast was lush. We took their card so we can get in touch when we come back.
