We paid £30 for a noon early check-in, but the code didn’t arrive until 2pm. With no reception and no way through the front door without it, we were left waiting in the cold. I spent two hours messaging an AI robot on WhatsApp before a real person finally replied. The phone numbers didn’t work either. When we got into the room, the bin was still full, the sink and toilet leaked, and the shower barely drained. The sheets and carpet were dirty and moldy. There was expired milk, and for two people staying six days we had just one toilet roll and one towel. On the first evening, we met two women with the same problems. Then staff sent them our door code. They opened our door while we were outside having a cigarette, with my dog and all our belongings inside. Thank goodness they were honest and left everything alone. Someone could have taken my dog. The owner or cleaner also came into our room without cleaning it. I change the door code before leaving so no one can come in, but our access code had been left on the door, meaning someone could have entered and taken our things. Why did they come in, just to look at our belongings or steal? There’s also a place called blue sky guest house in the exact same building, but it costs twice as much as BoHo breeze. SCAM!!! The room was filthy and check-in was a mess. This is the most unprofessional hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We also had to pay a £5 deposit per person for reasons I don’t know. Staff can’t handle the job, and it seems they have robots doing customer service and send a cleaner once a week. Everyone I met there had the same complaints, so I know it wasn’t just me.

We ended up waiting outside in the cold with two other groups because there was no proper way to check in, just a fake AI chat. They also wanted us to pay for the access code on top of the room. They kept hanging up when we called. After half an hour someone finally answered, told us to WhatsApp them and wouldn’t answer any questions. It’s a VoIP number, so they keep disconnecting and changing it. You won’t be able to speak with anyone. After ages, we got a message saying our room was no longer available. I expect it’ll be a long process to get a refund.

They’ve changed their name from Blue Skye Guest Hotel 8, maybe to hide how bad the service is. I checked in online but never got an access code. I called customer service a couple of times and they didn’t answer. The customer service is terrible.

The location is handy, seconds from the seafront, on a busy road with bars, shops and places to eat open past midnight. The room itself was awful. On the first day, it stank strongly of wee and toilet, and the window wouldn’t stay open to air it out. The interior was poor, with carpet burns and torn wallpaper. On day two we came back to a cold, depressing room and found blood all over the sheets and an empty bottle of lube in the bin. My friends and I had been at a two-day festival, and the room made us consider going back to beg to sleep in the port a loos instead. We offered the room to a homeless man, but after looking at it he chose the streets and said he felt sorry for us. I don’t blame him.
