The West Pier Residence

We walked everywhere from this really convenient location. I had such a wonderful two days here with my boyfriend. The room was very clean, and you can tell the whole hotel is well loved. The staff were so lovely and gave us water, a goodies box, tea, and coffee.

The room was simple and very cosy, and we had a lovely stay for my girlfriend's trip to Brighton. Nice to have tea and coffee, two sets of towels each, and a big TV. The room warmed up quite quickly because the window safety feature limited how far it opened, but it was summertime. We'll be back.

I would give this hotel zero stars if I could. Traffic meant we got there at midnight, and after being told our room was on the second floor, we spent 10 minutes looking before finding it on the third. Inside, there were stains on the sheets, hair on the pillows, dirty wet towels, and a bathroom in a state. I went downstairs to ask for fresh sheets, and a lady told me, “you can have clean sheets and change them yourself.” I agreed to do it, but the new “clean bedsheets” were filthy too. When I pulled the old sheets off, I saw a black stain. My partner thought it was mould, so I contacted my dad, a pest controller, who said the marks were from bed bugs. The single bed's mattress had blood stains as well. We grabbed our things and asked for our money back. The lady took our keys and told us to go elsewhere, but didn't refund us. At 2.30am we were out on the streets of Brighton with nowhere to stay and no money left to book another hotel. We were horrified. The place was in a horrific state, and the customer service was shocking. Don't be swayed by other reviews mentioning chocolate, snacks, or a clean place. I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay here. We're still waiting for a refund, and this place should be shut down. I asked the manager if he would sleep in the bed; he smiled and said, “well what do you want me to say.” To me, if you won't stay in your own hotel room, that says something. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!!!!!

Direct access to the beach and an amazing location, with a comfortable bed and a high level of hygiene. The staff were very kind. Special thanks to Hassan and all the staff for all the Facilities. One of the best hotels in Brighton, and I'll definitely book again 🤍
