I chose this basic, functional place because it’s very close to the Royal Sussex hospital, and it suited what I needed. Room 5 was clean and had all the essentials, including a hairdryer. The tea and coffee station was welcome, and there was a glimpse of the sea. The bathroom was bright and clean, though the water pressure was weak. The stairs up to the room are very narrow, so taking a heavy suitcase up was a bit dodgy. This was a last-minute booking; communication was adequate, and I was pleased with my stay. I’d stay again.

Room 8 was spacious and very clean, and I slept well because it was quiet. The sea view was lovely, and the place was easy to find in a great location.

The room was clean and pleasant, with everything I needed for three nights. It would help to post a manager’s phone number on the door, so guests who arrive without the door code don’t end up feeling stuck outside in the rain. The listing should also mention the several steep flights of stairs to the view rooms and that there’s no help with suitcases.

A very helpful reception and an easy stay overall. It’s just off the seafront, with sea views, and getting in with the electronic code was quick and simple. The room was a reasonable size, with an en-suite shower, TV, and tea and coffee. A comfortable chair by the window would be nice. A fan would be welcome too, since you need to close the windows to keep traffic noise down while sleeping. Still, a great stay.

Very clean hotel in a central spot, close to amenities and cafes. The room had a small balcony, and the fridge was a nice surprise. Getting in with the keypad was easy. I’d definitely stay at the White House again.
