The in-house whisky bar turned a cancelled distillery tour into the highlight of our trip. Our host opened it for us one evening, with a wide choice of drams to buy and plenty of stories and recommendations to go with them. The winter weather had cancelled our visit to a local distillery, but our two nights at Tannochbrae were still the best part of our whisky tour in Scotland. The historic villa is beautiful, spacious, and clean, and the host was especially kind and helpful.

The whiskey snug, stocked with as many whiskeys as you can find in town, was a great spot to entertain. The property was the best place we stayed during our travels in Scotland and made our time in dufftown a highlight. It’s a historic building with Scottish touches throughout, alongside a modern kitchen stocked with everything we needed. A beautiful corporate luxury accommodation.

We arrived in mid-November without booking and were lucky they had a room free. The owners were friendly and welcoming without crowding us. Breakfast was amazing, and we loved the well-stocked whisky bar, a perfect little nook for a drink. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

Dinner here was an intimate, romantic evening that never felt stuffy. We both ordered the steak and thought the food was exceptional. The staff were warm from the moment we arrived, and we enjoyed chatting with them about our travels, where we’re from, and the local area. There’s also a room full of Scotch with plenty of local drams to try. Highly recommended.

We came for The Dramathon running event and had a comfortable room with a lovely large shower, just right after a long run. There was a great choice at breakfast, and the creamy scrambled eggs with smoked salmon were a particular favourite.
