Aztec Hotel & Spa

I've come to know the hotel and staff through regular fitness and business visits, and Aztec Hotel & Spa is one of my favourites. It's well suited to families and business guests, with spa, fitness and meeting room facilities. Its location near the M4 and M5 junction on Bristol's outskirts works well too. The grounds, gardens, equipment and facilities are kept in good order by the on-site facilities manager and team, and the hotel is continually being upgraded. Standards are high throughout. What makes it feel homely rather than like a sterile corporate hotel is the personable, friendly and helpful staff. Rachel, Sammy, Katie, Mel and Anna in food and beverage, Tessa, Mel and Fajar in business and conference liaison, and Cath in the Spa deserve a mention. The management team are visible and approachable, and willing to listen and help. I can't imagine family or business visitors being disappointed.

Sami made our 20th anniversary evening at the Aztec Hotel & Spa one to remember. He was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived, and his attention to detail and excellent service made the occasion feel special. He was attentive without getting in the way, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We're very grateful for the experience he gave us. He's a real credit to the hotel. Thank you, Sami!

Lauren's 50-minute back massage and facial were the highlight of my spa day. She listened carefully during the consultation, and it was so relaxing that I felt like a new person afterwards. The facilities were good, with a pool, a jacuzzi that runs every 10 minutes, sauna and steam room. We had towels, slippers and cosy robes, plus healthy snacks, smoothies, hot drinks, coffees and even suki tea in the large relaxation room. Lunch was tasty, a two-course set menu. I had French onion soup, then a fish finger sandwich and chips. Everything was close together, and we could eat at the bar in our gowns and slippers. Spa customers park for free. Looking forward to going back!

The meal was fresh, delicious and nicely presented, and the atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. Sami looked after us throughout the evening, friendly and professional, with great attention and recommendations. His suggestion of the Thai Red was spot on. You could tell he cared about good service, and he went the extra mile to make sure things were right. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return. Great food and service, and I'd recommend the restaurant.
