The George & Dragon

The breakfast tray was a really nice touch before our flight. It had two instant porridge pots, two pain au chocolat, juice, biscuits, cake bars, plus tea and coffee to choose from. We stayed the night before flying in a modern, cozy room, and the place is so close to Bristol Airport. Dinner was delicious and came out fast, with friendly staff and great value. They also offer parking while you’re away. A real gem, highly recommended.

That cow head figure was what caught my eye most 🤣. The pub has a lovely, homely feel, and the coffee was splendid. I stopped in for a quick bite while waiting for my partner to arrive at Bristol airport, but since it was Sunday, only a few dishes were available. Still a lovely little pub.

Harriet the barmaid was lovely, and even while busy she made time for everyone. The staff are friendly and attentive, and really do go out of their way to help. The food portions are generous, the chips clearly made properly, and prices are reasonable. It’s a nicely presented local pub. I didn’t stay in the rooms, though I believe the accommodation is good.

John & Helen were fantastic while I spent a couple of days parked here through the BritStops scheme. They were happy to let me stay, and even let me in to use the loo before the pub opened. Whether you’re coming for a meal or an overnight stay, I’d highly recommend visiting this pub.
