Such a shame I don’t live closer, I’d be having Sunday dinner every weekend 😂 The food is brilliant, the service excellent, and dogs are welcome. Love this pub, and I highly recommend the Sunday roast. Book ahead so you’re not disappointed!

The portions here are unreal for the price, so don’t eat before you come, maybe not even for a day or two! 😂 We had another lovely roast at the Golden Lion just before Christmas. The pub looked beautifully dressed for the festive season, and the food was top notch as always. This is our regular Sunday lunch spot when we’re in Brixham. Can’t wait to come back.

The curry was fabulous, and the place had such a warm, friendly feel. People nearby had ordered different dishes from the menu, and they seemed just as pleased with the food quality as we were. Well done, Golden Lion, you’ve nailed it!

We’ve made this our food stop when we’re down at the caravan. It’s great value, too. I was with five friends for another excellent meal: my Vindaloo was fantastic, the steak eaters said theirs was the best they’d had in a long time, and the others really enjoyed their steak and ale pie. There were loads of onion rings as well.
