Vigilance, Maritime Suites, Brixham

It's a fishing village that isn't overdeveloped, so a bit of inconvenience is to be expected. The road just outside was busier than I anticipated, and there isn't parking close by, which takes away from the convenience of the four-minute walk to the quay. Still, the central location is ideal, with buses running frequently from a stop just a few metres away. The place is spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen, WiFi and TV. I'd recommend it at such a competitive price, and plan to visit again in late autumn or around New Year.

At our weekly coffee meetup, Jenny asked how my Brixham holiday went, and I told her it was the best holiday ever. We stayed in the pilgrim suite, and the room we walked into on the first night felt luxurious. I felt like a queen. The mattress was so comfortable, like being hugged by a cloud, and my husband loved the spacious, up-to-date bathroom. Nothing bad to say about this place. It's in a great location and the staff are great too.

We spent three nights in The Golden Vanity suite last week. The view was amazing, and the accommodation was excellent quality. The bed was so comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. I'd highly recommend it, especially for the great price.

It's a very central spot with a great harbour view, and only a short walk to somewhere for breakfast. The team made us feel welcome, including with the gift in the photo. You do have to park elsewhere, but I didn't mind if it meant avoiding the steep steps on the way home. It's a great little find, and not a long walk back.
