We came to Wales for the weekend for my birthday, since my wife and I love it here. The location was awesome, with lovely valleys and fresh air nearby. We stayed in the Four Poster room, which was warm and cosy, and the food was amazing and affordable. The staff and owners were all very friendly and accommodating. Recommended...

The building is beautiful and quaint, with lovely decor that really suits the place. The food was amazing, every dish our party ordered was perfect. If you want a nice meal in that area, I couldn’t recommend anywhere else more highly.

The food was terrific, and the menu was broad but still felt gastronomic. We’d just stopped in on the way back from zip world and were told, “The only table we have is by the fire…” Thanks very much. It’s family-run, and you can often hear the passion and conversations that come with that 😂. I’ll be back as soon as possible.

The food was outstanding, though choosing from the menu was hard, which is a good problem to have. Service was good and the room very nice. We stayed at four different hotels on this vacation, all at a high standard, but this was clearly the best. I’d really like to come back. Wales needs a hotel like this.

I live locally but hadn’t been to Ty Gwyn for ages. The menu had lots of choice across all three courses, and the food was superb. The whole team gave really good service, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. I’ll be back and would definitely recommend it.
