We spent a week here using it as our base for rock climbing in the area. It’s a great spot away from the madness of nearby Betws-y-Coed, with a local shop opposite for essentials and a lovely quiet local bar where you can ponder life and the universe over a beer after a day out.
For such a low price, the rooms were tidy, clean and spacious enough, and the beds were comfortable, so I slept well. There are several shared showers and toilets, plus a kitchen. I also had a couple of drinks at the bar. And to the owner, “GO Below extreme is a big thumbs up.” He’ll know what I mean. 👍
Very friendly and helpful service from Gary & Keith, and the WiFi was string, free. The location is quiet and picturesque, with a local shop just a few yards away, and the rooms are nice with extremely comfortable beds. The shared kitchen and bathroom were in great condition and had excellent features. Just remember to bring your own towels, as they aren’t provided. Great value, and I’d highly recommend it.
We came for the local atmosphere and ales, and found a lovely warm welcome. It’s a cosy traditional style pub.
Friendly service, clean premises and good facilities, especially considering the low price and location. I enjoyed my stay and would come back. It’s a cheap and cheerful option with a lovely beer garden, well suited to walkers or cyclists who want a bit more comfort than camping. The room we had was small, but clean, dry and in good order, with hot drink making facilities. Bed linen is supplied, though you’ll need to bring your own towel. There’s a Londis next door and kitchen facilities are available. Food is served Fridays and Saturdays from 6-8.00pm; it’s ok, but there can be a bit of a wait.
