The rooms are nicely decorated and kept to a high standard. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The host met me when I arrived and was there again when I left. They were friendly and knew the area well. The room was clean, with everything needed in the bathroom, including towels and plenty of toilet roll. The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. As a solo traveller, I had a wonderful stay. I was told before arriving that the restaurant and bar would be closed, and offered a breakfast bag to buy. I took it, and it had a good assortment of breakfast items. If I come this way again, I'd seriously consider staying here. It's close to amenities, and regular buses go to various places, including a park and ride into Salisbury for just £3.50 return. The area is busy, but outside noise didn't disturb my sleep; earplugs were provided just in case.

We had to find somewhere else to stay. We'd been told there was secure bike storage, but what they offered was a rack in an open car park beside a busy road. The receptionist wasn't helpful and wouldn't discuss any alternative. The accommodation is part of an old pub that looks as if it's been closed for a long time. It seemed run down and very sad. Definitely not suitable for touring cyclists, and an unfriendly place in general.

There is parking at the rear, and the rooms were lovely and very clean. Tia and Dan were amazing hosts and always did what they could to help. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The Wheatsheaf is on an old canal, beside an old millhouse, with a ruined monetary up the road. Pubs and restaurants are very close, and there's parking out back. We had a nice stay.
