The Red Red Robin Cottage

No cooking facilities, so it won't work if you're planning to self-cater like we were 😅. Otherwise, this was an adorable little B&B, clean and tidy, and it felt like a cared-for home. The welcome was warm, and we really appreciated the fresh breakfast and towels.

The breakfasts were rich, fragrant, and delicious, with a different fresh homemade cake each morning. We were lucky enough to stay four nights at this beautiful place just minutes from portree, and it gave us the full Skye experience, even surpassing what we'd hoped for. The hosts were so kind, warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable that we felt at home. Their tips were useful, from where to spot a seal to low tide times and beach directions. Every little detail in our room and the breakfast room, including the cute design, showed real thought and care. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, Les & Mery!

The owners were so friendly, and she gave us really helpful suggestions. It's a beautiful, cosy place, and the food was delicious. Breakfast comes in several options, with generous portions. I'd book the room again.

Getting there isn't easy, and Skye Island's roads aren't kind to your shock absorbers. But once we arrived, we had a beautiful view in the morning, freshly made cakes, and owners who were consistently caring, kind, and helpful. The small place is cosy and nice. The bed felt a bit too soft for me, though the sofa was perfect for a rest before sleeping. The coffee was really Italian, which was kind of impressive in this parallel.
