Rooms at Number One

John was kind enough to let me leave my luggage and check in early when I arrived ahead of time. The staff were polite and lovely, and my room was spectacular, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Rooms at Number One is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Broadstairs, within walking distance of the beach and two wonderful coffee shops.

The easy key safe pickup and parking were definite pluses, and our host was friendly and couldn’t have been more helpful. We were here with two of our teenage grandchildren, who loved being so close to the beach. Breakfast had a good range of choices and was very nice. We remembered these rooms from when they were a shop we always visited in Broadstairs. It’s a lovely little place to relax, and we’ll stay here whenever we visit Broadstairs. I’d definitely recommend it.

Breakfast was great, with a good selection brought to the door at the time arranged each morning. The hotel was excellent. One thing to keep in mind is that noise from other guests can carry quite clearly through the walls if they’re being loud. It’s not a complaint, just something to be aware of.

Breakfast arrived right on time at 8.30 in a cute wooden crate, and we chose to eat it in bed, though there was also the dining room and patio. The key safe made check-in quick and easy, with no waiting around. Our room was spotless, modern and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, handy air conditioning, and a lovely bathroom with a fantastic shower and fluffy towels. The whole hotel was immaculate. It’s so close to the beach, and the parking was a real godsend. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend a visit.
