The lunches at the hotel were reliably good, with a laid-back feel and lovely staff. Janis made a real effort to welcome us and help with anything we needed. We stayed in Bumblebee Cottage with our dog, and it was spotless, cosy, and stocked with everything we needed plus a bit more. Broadway is one of our favourite places, and a visit wouldn't feel complete without stopping at the Broadway Hotel. Thanks for a great stay.

We had a brilliant dinner here. The starters and steaks were delicious, and the drinks were lovely too. Everyone looking after us was attentive and helpful, and they brought us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. We'd happily return.

The Broadway Hotel sits right by the village green, making it easy to wander to Broadway's shops, tearooms, and nearby walking routes. Guests often mention the friendly service and handy setting, and it also makes a good starting point for exploring the wider Cotswolds and places such as Broadway Tower. Inside, the old inn's timber framing and Cotswold stone give it plenty of character, while the modern comforts keep it cosy and convenient. The rooms are individually styled and named after famous Cheltenham Festival horses, a fun local detail. This is a beautifully restored 16th-century building in a village often called the “Jewel of the Cotswolds.” There are several ways to spend time here, from afternoon tea or cocktails on the terrace to a quiet read in the lounge. For food, Tattersalls Brasserie serves seasonal dishes and has a Two AA Rosette award, while the Jockey Bar offers drinks by the fire and more casual bites.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, and we enjoyed the food, which was good and reasonably priced. But the access was poor for me as someone partly disabled, and the room felt so cramped we could barely move around. The fan was incredibly noisy and blew dust over me, so we switched it off and asked for another room. The toilet seat was loose, and the shower took ages to warm up. While we waited, the shower head came away from its bracket and sprayed water everywhere. I also struggled to fit myself and a small case in the lift, only to learn it was for staff use only.

We especially like coming here in winter, when there are several fires to sit beside. In summer, there's a nice outdoor area with table service. The staff are great, the drinks list includes local ales, and the food is delicious. The crowds of tourists can take away some of the town's charm and make parking harder, though.
