Cottage Lodge Hotel

The breakfast, made with locally sourced ingredients, was a highlight, and our meal at the White Tails restaurant was delicious and very high quality. We also enjoyed hiring bikes next to the train station for a family day out. Our hosts gave us great ideas for local things to do, and we appreciated the relaxed honesty bar. They'd clearly thought through useful details such as dedicated parking spaces and EV charging. The location made it easy to get around, with town, amenities and plenty to explore just a short walk away. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived and would happily stay again.

A real gem, with lovely, welcoming staff and an exceptional breakfast that includes great vegan options. The hotel is handy for the train station, walking routes, pubs and other amenities, and makes a great base for visiting the beautiful New Forest. I don't often feel this happy about a place I've stayed, and highly recommend it.

A big thank you to the waiter from Switzerland who looked after us in Spanish and suggested such beautiful walking routes. His kindness made the visit even more special. My partner and I came hoping to unwind for a few days and get away from the chaos of London, and the hotel was just right for that. It was spotlessly clean, with thoughtful attention to detail. Our room was comfortable and wonderfully quiet, the staff were warm and friendly, and breakfast was delicious. We felt very well looked after and welcomed. We'll definitely return.

We stayed Friday and Saturday nights in the William 1st Room, which was lovely. The room was comfortable, clean and had everything just right. We were greeted warmly and given an allocated parking space, and the meet and greet was very friendly. Breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. There are pubs, places to eat and plenty of walks nearby, so we didn't use the car all weekend. Definitely recommend it.
