Everything was impeccable, and the accommodation was both spacious and high quality. The host was lovely and left us a wonderful breakfast basket for the morning. We had everything we needed and more, including a comfortable bed, a big bathroom, and a warm, cosy space. We’d definitely return when we’re next in town. Thank you, Lilly.

We were in town for a reservation at Hand & Flowers and stayed for one night. The guest house is an easy walk into town, and getting around was simple. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, with a huge en suite and everything we needed, from toiletries and water to a hairdryer. The robes were a lovely touch for lounging around. Breakfast the next morning had lots of choice, including fruit and a great fry-up. Thanks for a lovely weekend.

No 4 is spotless, beautifully presented and professionally run. We stayed five nights in July. The breakfast was excellent, though the menu felt short on variety over several days. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, but felt a little anonymous, and check-in is automated. It may suit a one- or two-night visit better than a longer stay, and seems ideal for business travellers. Still, it’s very good indeed.

Breakfast and service were great, and the location worked well for us, with off-road parking too. But those positives didn’t change how we felt by the end. We booked for my sister-in-law’s wedding because the photos made the guesthouse look much nicer. In person, the bathroom felt old-fashioned, the toilet seat was broken, and the room was on a main road, so opening the window for fresh air brought in traffic noise. WiFi was advertised but wasn’t available. For the room and amenities, we found it hugely overpriced compared with other places at a similar cost, and wouldn’t recommend it.

I’d stayed here before and liked it enough to come back. This time I booked a larger room, and it made a big difference. They take good care of you, and breakfast is a nice extra. There are spaces on the driveway, plus free street parking if those are taken. The only drawback is the WiFi, which isn’t great, but it works well enough.
