The old photos are out of date. The pub has recently reopened after a major refurbishment, with a new management team. We found everyone friendly and welcoming. Our bedroom was large and really comfortable, and breakfast was very good. We'll definitely be back.
We stayed in Tufted Duck, and the room had a good view and felt cozy. The pub is in a peaceful, pleasant village, the food is great, and the staff are friendly. Definitely coming back!

The burger was the best I've had in years, and the rest of the food was delightful. We got a warm welcome in a beautiful old building. The area where we ate was fine, though there was a damp smell around the walls in the bar. I can see that fixing it might be difficult given the age and shape of the interior walls. I'd still recommend the place.
The steak and ale pie and sticky toffee pudding were among the best I've ever tasted. Great food, a nice pint, and very friendly, helpful staff. It's very dog friendly too. I'd definitely visit again. Top marks.
