Antony kept us updated about the weather as Storm Eunice approached, and was in touch regularly. Once we arrived, the cottage was warm and cosy, and had everything we needed. The location is fantastic, the furnishings are just right, and the farmland behind it was great for the dogs. The upstairs carpet could use replacing. The storm knocked out all the power, but Antony was sympathetic and stayed in regular contact. The customer service was fantastic. We’ll certainly book again later in the year. We were welcomed by Doune, who’d left fresh milk in the fridge for us. The cottage was amazing, with a stunning view and a garden, plus six acres where the dogs could run if they needed exercise. We couldn’t fault the place and will be back.

We were very happy with what we paid. The Gate House worked brilliantly for the two of us, and Sandy Mouth beach is just a stone’s throw away. Duane was helpful whenever we needed him, but otherwise gave us space, exactly what we wanted. A few updates to the property would have brought it up to five stars.

I went to view one of the cottages because I’m thinking of renting it over the winter. The cottages are a lovely group, finished to a high standard, and the location is fantastic, with beautiful sea views. Bude is only a 10 minute drive away, and there’s a great games room for visiting kids.

We stayed for five nights. The place was clean, the setting scenic, and it was easy to get in. It’s dog friendly, with field walks, and at night you can hear the waves crashing. Friendly staff, a games building too. We’d stay again.
