Camber Sands Lodge

The activities we booked for the rest of the week were mostly good, and the grandchildren had fun. But arrival day was a mess: we queued for more than an hour just to collect the keys, the accommodation wasn't very clean, and the towels that should have been there were missing. Then we waited another hour for our meal at the restaurant. I couldn't really recommend it, and I won't be going back.

We booked a platinum lodge, but the cleaning standards were appalling. There were no towels, toiletries, or complimentary tea and coffee. The website advertised a spa, but there isn't one on site. Definitely won't return.

We had a two-bedroom caravan, not a lodge. The rooms, bathroom, kitchen, and living area were all an okay size. I didn't like how the twin room was right by the entrance, though. There was hardly any space to get in and out of the door.

It's like being at home, only with nicer weather, a lovely beach, and the chance to do absolutely nothing.
