The Old Coffee Tavern

We were looked after well from check-in until we left during our two-night hotel stay. The room was beautiful, with high ceilings. Breakfast was just right: fresh, warm croissants and pain au chocolat, plus toast, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, and juices. The staff were really friendly, and the woman who cleaned the rooms was lovely too. We’d definitely stay again.

The room was on the small side, but it worked fine for one night. The bathroom was lovely and clean, and having a fridge was a nice bonus. The walk from the nearest 24-hour car park was a bit of a trek, so it might not suit older guests as well. What really stood out was the staff: everyone was friendly and helpful, and they were great with our dogs. Special thanks to the woman on the morning shift, who was busy nonstop but still cheerfully helped with our bags and gave us some lovely cheese with breakfast. She’s a real credit to the hotel.

Pheebs kept everything under control throughout our wedding weekend, which made us feel completely at ease. The reception at the Old Coffee Tavern was beautiful but relaxed, and the day ran smoothly. Staff arrived early to put up the decorations, and there was seating for all 80 guests before it was shifted aside for the DJ and dance floor. The buffet was fairly priced and delicious, especially the lamb curry, southern fried chicken and jasmine rice. Several guests later told us how much they enjoyed the food. Our room had a high ceiling, a comfy bed and a lovely view of the church. The location was great too, just a minute from the weekly market, which we walked to the next morning. Breakfast was a very good cooked one, with vegetarian and vegan options. We’ll definitely be back for our anniversary.

We didn't stay overnight, but stopped in for dinner on Saturday evening, 11/10/2025. It was packed, so clearly a popular spot. The Old Coffee Tavern is right in the heart of Warwick and easy to find. My haddock and chips cost £17.50 and were really good, especially with Inches Cider. The staff were great too. I’d happily visit again, and the rooms look like they’d be nice as well.
