Getting here by train means arranging transport ahead of time, but there’s lots of parking if you drive. We were at The Cedars for an event nearby, and it turned out to be a real treat. The room was modest but charming, with thoughtful decor, soft bedding, and a lovely selection of tea and art. Nick’s food was the highlight, made with fresh local ingredients and full of flavour. Breakfast is cooked to order, with great coffee and plenty to choose from. We’d say try as many dishes as you can, and make time for dinner too. The warm welcome and cozy atmosphere made the whole stay memorable.

Small rooms, but cozy and full of nice touches like homemade cookies. Nick greeted me warmly and made the guest house feel like home from the start. I slept well in a comfortable bed, and the full breakfast was a real treat. The bar looked inviting, but I didn’t have time to stop for a drink. Maybe next time.

The food was so good I’d travel back just to eat here. Breakfast was lush and generous, and dinner ended with an amazing crumble and custard. Lydia and Nick were fab hosts, around when needed and giving us space when they weren’t. I stayed at The Cedars during a trail riding holiday, and it exceeded my expectations. The room was lovely and clean, though the ensuite felt a bit dated. Books everywhere give the place a nice lived-in feel. It’s a real gem.

Breakfast was the highlight for me, with loads of options and delicious food. I felt right at home here. Nick and Lydia are so welcoming and attentive, and my gorgeous bedroom had a lovely view and delicious homemade cookies. There was also a guestbook with a helpful list of restaurants and some history about the town. Everything was fantastic, and I’d come back just for breakfast.

The Full Welsh breakfast was delicious, and it comes included. I stayed in a quiet, peaceful spot, and everything was so well organised that you could see how much Nick and Lily care about their work. They’re lovely people. There were homemade cookies in the rooms, some of the best I’ve eaten, and you can ask nicely to buy extra. This is the best Bed & Breakfast I’ve ever stayed at. If you want a great weekend, stay here.
