A sweet little inn, and the staff were so kind and welcoming. We loved our three nights here. It was cozy and comfortable, and the food was divine. Breakfast had fantastic vegetarian choices, including the best meatless sausage I’ve ever had, and dinner was superb too. One thing to know: some ground floor rooms have windows opening onto the sidewalk. We like to keep our curtains and windows open, so we switched to an upper floor. It was an easy change. A really delightful stay. Thanks, Lamb Inn!

We had both dinner and breakfast, and they were excellent. It was quite good value too, and I’d highly recommend staying here. The room was large, comfortable and very warm, with a nice bathroom. The bed deserves a special mention, it was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in. The Lamb Inn is a typical old-world pub just off Burford’s high street, with low ceilings, beams, log fires and loads of character. We visited in January, when it was freezing outside.

The restaurant is a real highlight, with classic British flavours, seasonal ingredients and beautifully presented dishes. Dinner feels like an occasion, and the wine list is well chosen. Breakfast was fresh, hearty and unhurried too. The rooms mix rustic character with modern comfort: plush beds, quality linens and thoughtful touches make the place feel personal rather than generic. I slept exceptionally well. The Lamb Hotel makes a charming base for nearby villages, or a peaceful countryside break if you just want to slow down in the Cotswolds. A good fit for a romantic getaway or a foodie weekend.

We stopped in for a Sunday lunchtime drink in January. There are several different places to sit, including rooms with log burners or open fires, which were great in the cold. A cozy, lovely hotel, pub and restaurant, full of character.

My daughter wanted a pub lunch, so we went to the lamb. The staff were really helpful, and the food and drinks were great. We all liked my husband’s Camembert charcuterie board best, though the squash soup and steak were very good too.
