Sycamore Farm Park

I spent a couple of hours fishing on my first day and, despite not knowing the water, had a bumper session: over 30 carp, plus barbel and roach. That's a record for me! The grounds are lovely, the atmosphere is superb, and the toilets and showers were spotless. Staff were really friendly and helpful when I arrived, and the campsite facilities are among the best I've seen. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy some leisure time. First visit, but it won't be my last. I can highly recommend staying here.

We stayed two nights with our tourer and were shown to our pitch and the toilet block when we arrived. It's a tidy site, and smaller than I'd pictured. The fishing ponds are lovely, so next time my hubby will bring his fishing tackle. The toilets were warm and clean, though it wasn't peak season, so I can't say how they are when busy. The bins smelled a little already, even though it wasn't the height of summer. I can see how that could get worse in the heat. Maybe pressure washing them would help.

We had a quiet week of fishing, and both lakes are stuffed with fish. The surroundings are well kept, the accommodation was great, and Skegness is only about 10 minutes away. Looking forward to coming back next year.

We booked at the last minute, only about three hours before arriving, and the staff were extremely accommodating. Reception were really friendly and welcoming at check-in. The site itself is peaceful, well maintained and spacious, with electric tent pitches and hard standing for touring caravans. The facilities were clean and great. All in all, a great experience.
