After a long run, Simon’s food was just what I needed. I was new to hostels and unsure what to expect, but I felt at ease the whole stay. Simon and Sonni made me feel welcome straight away, and everything was spotless and well equipped. I’d happily come back.

Those bunks felt cosy and private, which had been my biggest worry, and the bathroom was spotless with good showers. The lounge was comfortable and a great place to unwind in the evenings. I’d only booked one night for my first solo hostel stay, but added another. Sonni was friendly and helpful, and both dinner and the cooked breakfast were delicious. It was a good base for the quarry, with about a 40 minute walk to Llanberis along the slate trail. I’d stay again and recommend it.

The views are incredible, and the lodge has hot showers, comfy beds and a lovely lounge. Sonni & Simon are delightful hosts, and the breakfasts and evening meals are delicious. I always love staying at this beautiful lodge and will keep coming back when I’m in the area. ❤️💯

We stayed Friday-Monday, Dad and me, and had a brilliant time. The beds were really comfortable, the hostel felt secure, and the layout was thoughtfully presented. Breakfast was great and the views were outstanding. The owners made us feel welcome from arrival right through to the end, and it was amazing value for money. Thanks, Sonni & Simon. We’ll definitely be back, together or on a solo trip.

Set high on the mountain, the hostel has onsite parking and lovely mountain views. Inside it feels really cozy, the food is great, and the owners are friendly and welcoming.
