Right in the heart of Calne, this is a nice spot for a chiabatta with ham, cheese and tomato. It cost £8, and the flat white was decent at £3.

The bed was a bit too firm for me, and my back hurt in the morning. Still, the room was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated, and breakfast was filling, if pretty standard. We came to The Lansdowne for the evening after spending the day in Bath. The inside felt really cozy, the dinner menu had a nice selection, and the front desk staff were super friendly. I’d definitely stay here again.

The pub’s decor was magnificent, with local history all around us in the pictures and clocks, and we had a delicious Sunday Roast 😋. Lois, the waitress, checked that we were OK, found us a table and looked after us while we were there. We came in for a lovely Sunday Roast and will definitely be back. Paul & Wendy Frome Somerset

£36 for a really disappointing meal. The fish was soggy, the batter undercooked, and they served wedges instead of chips. Save your money.
