Strand House

The beach is stunning, even in October, and only about a 7 minute walk away. Getting there means crossing the big sand dunes, which turned into a fun adventure for the kids. Strand House itself matched its listing exactly, and was clean, tidy, well maintained and spacious enough for our group of 4 adults, 2 children and a teenager. The 3 and 5 year olds loved the bunk room, especially discovering all the toys in the cupboard. We had room to eat and play together at the large dining table, with plenty of board games in the cupboard and under the bench seat. The living room was roomy and comfortable, the TV was excellent, and the WiFi handled several devices without trouble. Both Bluetooth/DAB radios worked well too. The kitchen had everything we needed, including an espresso machine, so bring your own beans or grounds. We appreciated finding apple juice and milk in the fridge, biscuits on the side, and tablets for both the dishwasher and washing machine. The owner was quick to answer my questions in the week before we arrived. I haven't included house photos because the booking site pictures show it as it is, but I've added some of what we did nearby.
