Waterside Lodges Cambridge

The lodges and grounds are beautiful, and it was lovely having the animals around. We booked one for a few days around our wedding in Cottenham because it was close to the venue, and it turned out to be a great decision. Sharon and the team made a real effort to make our stay special, even letting us use the grounds for photos. We’d happily recommend it and will be back.

We came back at Christmas and the decorations made it feel lovely. Sitting in the hot tub in the evening with the lake in view was a treat. Thanks, Sharon and Angelo, for a lovely break. Great accommodation, kind hosts, a handy location, animals to enjoy, and beautiful sunsets over the lake.

I had a really good time fishing during our few days there, and I’ll send the owners some photos of the carp I caught. The place is spacious, very clean, and the welcome hamper was nice. My only gripe was that the beds and pillows felt too hard and were pretty uncomfortable for me. Still, I’d come back.

The setting was so peaceful, and the hot tub on the deck was a lovely extra. It’s also handy for Cambridge, with park and ride just five minutes away. The small farm is beautiful, spacious and clean, with alpacas, ducks, donkeys and pygmy goats. Ducks come over to greet you when you arrive, and you can feed them. There’s a picturesque lake with fishing, too. Our accommodation was modern, comfortable and very clean. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating. It was a wonderful stay.
