The Countryman Hotel

We were already packing to leave and wishing we'd booked a longer stay. The owners are so friendly and really make an effort to ensure you have a lovely time. Our room was immaculate and pretty, and the beds were among the most comfortable we've slept in. The cooked breakfast was delicious, made with fresh ingredients. This little gem is well worth staying at in North Cornwall. We'll definitely return and are already looking forward to it. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We only stayed one night. The room was spacious and clean, and nice overall, but there was no Wi-Fi. I asked several times and was told the details had been emailed, but nothing had arrived. I also texted and got no reply. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. I felt they needed to communicate better with guests. They didn't even seem to bother with a good morning, please or thank you, and the older man and woman came across as very uptight towards us. My husband and I didn't like that.

After our car broke down, Sue was welcoming and really helpful when we arrived at short notice. The room was spotless, with very comfy beds. It's a handy location if you don't have a car, just a quick walk into town, and there's a nice local pub for food and drinks. I'd definitely recommend it!

Breakfast was superb and got my day off to a great start. Sue was a lovely host who made me feel welcome and secure, and the room was comfortable and in good order. I'd definitely come again.
