Fiona was a wonderful host, and we arrived to a delicious slice of homemade lemon drizzle cake and a small glass of sherry. Very civilised! We were really impressed by Homelea’s warmth and hospitality. I asked for a vegetarian breakfast expecting a veggie sausage, but got the full works, a full veggie English, while my husband had a full English. We were there for a party in the next village, and they even gave us a lift to the event. The rooms were spacious, warm and very comfortable. All in all, a lovely stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.

The best part of our Christmas Eve visit was hearing our hosts, Pauline and Gerald, sing with the angelic choir at midnight mass in the church down the street. Their welcome had already made us feel like family, which meant a lot since we worried we'd get homesick spending Christmas abroad. Our little space was cute, and breakfast was delicious. May God bless Pauline and Gerald, their family, and their business!

The room was clean and nice, though it didn't have air conditioning. Our hostess was a sweet lady who kept up with what was happening around town and gave us plenty of ideas for things to do. Canterbury's centre is only four miles away, so getting there was easy.
