The pub was spotless, and everyone was welcoming and friendly. I stopped by on a weekday for the set menu. The food arrived quickly, hot and filling, and tasted good. I’d highly recommend it if you’re in the area.

Debbie and the staff were friendly, polite and helpful, and the food was excellent. My partner and I had a fantastic four-day stay at the Evenhill, and our dog loved it too. The room was spacious and nicely decorated, with a pleasant bathroom, a powerful shower and a very comfortable bed. Lovely countryside views from the windows. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were all very friendly, and the room was clean, tidy and had tea, coffee and biscuits. There was plenty of space for our Siberian husky, plus a lovely outdoor area. Breakfast was delicious and freshly made especially for us as vegans. Having a pub and restaurant on site is handy if you arrive hungry or thirsty. It’s only a 10-minute drive from the city centre. We’d definitely stay again, hopefully soon!

Debbie and Caroline gave brilliant service, and the rooms were spacious and clean. The air conditioning was a nice bonus, and the shower was lovely. Clean towels and a comfortable bed too. The cod and chips were really tasty, and the included breakfast was very good. Great value for money, worth an overnight stop, and only 10 minutes from canturbery.
