We booked the venue for exclusive use for a weekend birthday celebration and had a great time. The owners were super friendly and gave us great recommendations. We ordered kegs and enjoyed the novelty of pulling our own pints, and booked their suggested chef for one of the nights. It was a shame the Welsh weather kept us from making the most of the fabulous mountain walks right at the foot of the place, but we’ll be back whatever the weather.

The location was ideal for exploring nearby, including the Snowdon trails, and we’re definitely hoping to return. We had the whole property to ourselves for a weekend celebration with friends, and couldn’t have asked for a better place. The bedrooms and en suites were modern and spotless, and the kitchen was well equipped for a large group. The pub and games room were fantastic extras. There’s also a large garden set up for outdoor cooking, with a spectacular view.

There’s a lot more to this place than its handy spot near the lakes and summit, or the great views from the room and bar window. The owner is lovely and kind, and the industrial kitchen has all the gear, including a cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, dryer and fridge freezers. There are three rooms to use: a games room with pool and football tables and board games, a cinema room, and a big bar and dining room. The hotel rooms are clean and tidy too. One of the best places I’ve stayed in Wales. If you want to stay near the Snowdonia Summit, book this place.

The owners were really friendly and accommodating, and it’s a great base for Snowdon and the surrounding area. We had a lovely weekend, with comfortable rooms and a lovely view. You can book the whole place for a large group, which would be fun since the shared areas are brilliant. I’d stay again.

After a day of hiking, this is a good place to relax and recharge. It’s a well located self service hotel in the heart of Snowdonia, with a spacious kitchen, pool table and cozy lounge. Breakfast was a nice touch: yoghurt with forest fruits and nuts, plus toast and marmalade. It had the facilities I needed for a comfortable stay.
