Elgano Guest House

I slept really well in the clean room, with a comfortable bed and big pillows. The staff were friendly and keen to help. I loved my three nights here. It would’ve been nice to have breakfast available, but it was a very good stay.

For one night, the room was perfectly acceptable: it was quiet, clean and comfortable, with plenty of sockets and a good sized mirror. But it was very small, and the double bed felt pretty snug for two. The bathroom’s folding door didn’t close properly, leaving a slight gap at the top where the doors joined. I could hear my partner on the toilet. Because of the size, I wouldn’t want to stay here for longer with two people.

The Coach house was gorgeous apart from a couple of small issues. The wash hand basin leaked, and I’d have preferred one thinner pillow since the two fat ones were too much.

The Italian restaurant, which is open only in the evenings, was a highlight of my trip. The service was amazing, and the tuna pasta special was one of the best I’ve tried. The hotel is also convenient, within walking distance of Cardiff train station and Principality stadium, and the price felt well worth it. My room was very clean and looked newly furnished and decorated. I visited in summer, and opening the windows made the temperature comfortable. The shower was hot and just right, and fresh towels were provided. I really appreciated the hospitality. Thank you! :)
