Stay Central Century Wharf

The first apartment was filthy, neglected and smelled of urine. I asked for it to be cleaned, but it was exactly the same. The replacement was a little better, though the fire alarm kept going off day and night with no way to stop it. Parking was awful too, and there were no extra towels or hair dryer.

As a woman travelling alone, I felt safe in the gated community. The apartment was big enough for one, and the directions were fairly clear. It’s away from the centre, but the bus makes it easy to get there, or you can walk about 15 minutes. My problem was the condition inside. There’s no room service unless you stay at least a week, which is fine, but I expected the place to be properly checked before a new guest arrived. The cutlery and stove were dirty, and there were spots on the walls that looked different from luggage scuffs. There was hand soap missing, and instead of a hand towel there were two big towels. Even the paper information folder was stained, so it could easily have been replaced. I’ve had much better setups in private Airbnbs.

It’s a spacious, clean and cozy apartment in a quiet area, which is nice if you want to relax. Personally, I hated being here because it’s inside a gated community and far from cafes, restaurants, Cardiff Bay and the train station.

The pool water was lovely and warm, and the gym has good cardio and bodybuilding machines. There’s also security, a concierge, and access to both the pool and gym. A great place to live, strongly recommend!
