The Laurels

We liked the place enough to return. It worked well as a base, with buses right outside and a handy pub serving food around the corner. St Fagans Museum is very close, and we could pop in through the back gate. Our room had a double bed, an extra single and a large settee, plus a full en-suite bathroom. It was comfortable and welcoming. Since it's a B&B rather than a hotel, being out from 10 to 5 seemed fair, and we spent the spare time at the Museum.

Breakfast in the conservatory was tasty, and our clean room had en-suite facilities. The house is beautiful, and the owners gave us a really warm welcome and were helpful throughout. The setting felt idyllic and peaceful, though the city centre was still only minutes away. Great value, and we'd happily return and recommend it.

We found the stay a bit overpriced, though it was very clean and breakfast was OK. We were there for two nights, and the location was really handy for St. Fagan's Folk Museum, just around the corner. Be aware they only accept cash, not credit cards.

The bedroom was lovely and large, with a stunning en suite. Our host was warm and friendly, and she served a delicious full English breakfast in the delightful conservatory.
