If I’m in Carlisle again, I’d definitely book here. I stayed two nights last week and Kelly was a fantastic, welcoming host who couldn’t do enough. Room 2 was airy, clean and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed. There was chilled water in the mini fridge when I arrived, plus plenty of tea, coffee, milk and even little packets of squash, which made me happy because I like squash in my water. It’s the little things. Breakfast had a fantastic choice and was cooked perfectly, including the poached egg. It’s about a 15-minute stroll, or a 10-minute normal walk, from the train station and town centre.

The room was small but just right for me. I had to switch off the mini fridge. Breakfast had a fabulous selection for everyone, and the staff were friendly and professional. Lovely atmosphere. If I pass through Carlisle again, this will be my first choice.

The breakfast was the best I’ve had in a long time, and the room was warm and very comfortable with everything we needed. We stayed one night while visiting family and friends in Carlisle, and the B&B was just right for us. It’s close to the train station, with a welcoming, family friendly feel. The place has been done up really nicely, with new carpets, lovely pictures and boutique style decorations. Booking direct is worth it so you know you’re supporting a local business.

The lounge might benefit from blackout curtains, since the shop across the road has neon lights that shine into it. You don’t notice them in the bedroom, though. We booked the ground floor apartment on an impromptu trip to Carlisle for a football match. It’s very central, with some parking spaces right outside, and the place was clean and well maintained. The apartment is self contained with a cooking space. The hosts gave us a warm welcome, and breakfast the next morning was delicious. All in all, an excellent place to stay. We’d book again.
