The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in, and for the price I really can’t complain about the rooms being a little dated or getting very warm in summer. The man who welcomed us was so friendly that we felt at home straight away, and the staff looked after us well. We had the steak and wine offer, which was lovely. It’s a five-minute walk from Yeovil show ground and a short drive into town. We’ll definitely book again next time we have an event at the show ground.

The staff were helpful and polite, and there’s a lovely little garden with seating out the back. Inside, the room had tea and coffee facilities, a very comfortable bed and great pillows. I had a fantastic night’s sleep. Would highly recommend ❤️ (the skinny Chatfields)

We had Sunday lunch today, Easter Sunday, and the food was lovely. The service was fast and friendly. The few steps up to the bar are very steep, which was difficult for me as I’m disabled, but it was a good experience overall. I’d definitely recommend the food and will be telling others. Thank you.

We had a group of 17 at this really nice pub and pre-ordered. One dessert didn’t arrive, but we didn’t want it anyway and weren’t charged, so it didn’t bother us. The food was nice, proper pub food. I’d go again.

I was unsure when I booked, but I needn’t have worried. The rooms are basic, while the pub itself is fabulous, with a proper pub atmosphere and very good home-cooked food at reasonable prices. If I lived nearby, I’d be a regular. Highly recommend.
