The food was fresh and tasty, so I can't complain about that. I attended my grandad's wake here, and the place seemed a little run down. The bar badly needs stripping out and refitting. The GM could have been friendlier, and more than one person mentioned her rudeness.

A great place to stay while working away. My room was large and clean, check-in was very attentive, and it was great value. I'll try here first when I'm back for work.

Meg made a sad day feel cared for with her kindness and warm welcome. Her organisation and attention to detail for my sister-in-law's wake a few days ago were exemplary, and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet and beautiful homemade cakes she provided were delicious. The barman was helpful and friendly too. All our guests were impressed with the venue, and I can definitely recommend it for excellent service. Thank you so much, Meg, you're a star!

After saying goodbye to my father, it meant a lot to be welcomed and made to feel special here. They even gave us personalised directions for parking. I booked the hotel for his wake because it's close to the Yeovil Crematorium, and the staff were incredibly helpful throughout. The room was clean, modern and comfortable. One guest was both coeliac and vegetarian, and a staff member called her personally to check her requirements. At the reception, her food arrived beautifully arranged on a cake tier. There was plenty of food, it was good value and all of it was a very good standard. A staff member had baked the delicious lemon cake, and I had four slices because it was so good. I thoroughly recommend this hotel for a stay or a function.
